Kaskinen is the smallest city in Finland, and its financial situation is challenging. That is precisely why we cannot afford to wait – we must act now. The future is built together: through the collaboration of residents, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers. We must find a common goal and make bold decisions that will move Kaskinen forward.

The success of our municipality is based on jobs, entrepreneurship, and education. Without a vibrant business sector, we cannot secure services or attract new residents. We need to know how to market Kaskinen as an attractive city for both businesses and new inhabitants. We have strengths that we could utilize better – for example, one of Finland’s most extensive fiber-optic networks provides a unique opportunity for remote work and technology companies.

Politics must be proactive. Decisions cannot be made solely based on immediate needs; we must keep our eyes on the future. If we wait too long, the solutions will come too late and at too high a cost. We must stay ahead of the problems, not behind them.

For me, Kaskinen is home, and I want to work for its future. Let’s build a city together where there are jobs, services, and opportunities – not only when we are forced to, but now.

Leif Aspbäck
Municipal Election Candidate, Kaskinen
